Wonderful, charming, relaxing & great value
Wonderful and peaceful location on the edge of the ocean. We slept with the balcony door open to listen to the sound of the waves and to enjoy the fresh air. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we slept very well! The unit is very well equipped, extra clean and spacious! Quiet location and quiet home. The living room is cozy with a large TV. Wifi worked perfectly without interruption. The bathroom was super clean and very functional (tub/shower combo). Heating controls are in the unit, so you decide what temperature you want. Parking is on site. The morning view, looking at the ocean, is "magnifique"'!
Note: this location is perfect if you have a vehicle. In fact, Nanaimo consists of a long urban ribbon along the coast and the area is best enjoyed if you have your own transportation. There is a shopping center close by where you will find everything to make your stay at this oceanfront location a perfect holiday!
The owner was very helpful providing advice on sites and restaurants to explore. Thank you Taaja!

SAFE SLICE OF HAVEN FOR SINGLE ACTIVE TRAVELLER
Stayed at Randle House for one week on my own in the Audrey Suite. I had just spent a week in Tofino at The Homestead health and wellness retreat and was looking for a place to use as a base to explore the Nanaimo/Parsville area, a place where I felt safe and secure and that felt like home. I found that place with Taaja and Ken, an incredibly warm and welcoming couple, who could not do enough for me to make me comfortable in their stunning home. The house and surroundings are exactly as depicted in the photos and exceeded all my expectations. Taaja has a love of cooking and her creative talents respected my desire for healthy breakfasts. We shared recipes, ideas and chatted about our shared passion. Ken gave me so many great recommendations for hiking nearby at Neck Point, Newcastle Island, and Pipers Lagoon. The views from the property are spectacular and I loved having my morning tea in the garden just watching various birds, the seals popping up in the water and the magnificent BC ferries gracefully moving through the water. Sunrise at 5am was breathtaking as it rose beyond the mountains in the distance. I appreciated the small fridge where I could store my own lunches, fruit, snacks, wine etc. Their restaurant recommendations were spot on and covered lovely casual dinner spots on the water to more upscale dining. The bedroom and bathroom are beautifully appointed and all the little extra touches are evident from fresh flowers to a crystal jug full of water, blankets to wrap yourself in outside, the outside shower, a little cast iron cat doorstop to keep the balcony door propped open as the warm ocean breezes blow through. I felt like a family member and loved sharing a glass of wine with them at the end of every day to share my daily adventures. Taaja and Ken thank you for welcoming me into your home and for sharing your slice of heaven. Loved it all and miss the waves lulling me to sleep every night.❤️

My sister, brother (along with his two kids) had a fantastic stay at Randle House.
Taaja and Ken are lovely hosts, welcoming, warm and full of ideas for adventures in the area. The suite was beautiful - and comfortable. Gorgeous view from the balcony - you can see the snow-capped mountain ranges on the mainland beyond the islands nearby - incredible!! The apartment is newly decorated and very well stocked. The setting was impeccable - right on the water, access to kayak, swim and explore the bay (cute seals + interesting rock formations nearby with starfish and other sea life ). Great walking parks with gorgeous views of the mainland also nearby (all with different vantage points). I can't decide what was my favourite.... sipping coffee early in the morning, with all the stillness, or dinner and wine with my family on the patio, watching for seals to pop by. A truly memorable trip! Hope to see you again soon!
